Using Tarot to Deepen Your Spiritual Connection

Tarot is a wonderful tool for understanding ourselves and the world in which we live, work, and play. We can use it for guidance on any conceivable subject. While I am a firm believer that it should be approached with trust and respect, we can use it to consult on anything that genuinely matters to us and for more general guidance in a given situation. It can help us to navigate with confidence and from a place of understanding the energies that are to come in the days and weeks ahead. In this way, it helps us to better prepare for what is on its way and to make any necessary adjustments.

Now more than ever, we have time to sit with our thoughts, to examine our lives, and consider where making changes would benefit us. Many of us have the opportunity to connect with ourselves and with our spirituality on deeper levels than perhaps ever before. There are many ways to strengthen our spiritual connection, including systems, beliefs, and practices that we may find beneficial to varying degrees. Meditation and yoga can help us practice mindfulness, center our thoughts and being-ness, and open to receive messages, guidance, and wisdom from the divine.

The beauty of using tarot to deepen that connection is that we can ask a question and receive an immediate answer, albeit one we may need to sit with for a while to fully comprehend. Tarot is a medium through which we can tap into understanding and wisdom that is only as limited as our capacity for interpretation. Best of all, when we approach the cards with reverence, trust, and from a centered state in which we intend to receive guidance that is for our highest good or to receive messages from the divine, our guides, or allies, we can connect with energies linked to source and draw from the well of infinite intelligence.

There are so many questions we can ask, depending on our needs and situation, that can help us strengthen our connection to source, our allies, the higher self, and to our own spirituality and intuition. Some of those might be, What guidance is available to me? How can I deepen my connection to source/my allies/my higher self/my intuition? How can I strengthen my trust? Tarot’s strength is in its versatility, which allows it to speak to us on many levels throughout our lives. Because it is based on archetypes that speak to the whole of human experience, it is a guiding light we can turn to anytime we need it.

The Healing Journey

Healing is referred to as a journey because it takes place throughout our lives, and the path is rarely straight. We are many-layered beings, magnificent in our resiliency and in our ability to continually expand in our awareness. We are complex in our depth and extraordinary in our capacity for growth. For everything we know about ourselves, there may be ten thousand more that lie just beyond our awareness. Put simply, we are icebergs, with potential that reaches to depths unfathomable, as we navigate through much of our lives from the more physically focused aspect of our human experience, that forward-looking part of us that hovers above the surface in the realms of conscious awareness.

The series of blog posts that will fall under the umbrella of The Healing Journey will examine healing from a variety of aspects and modalities. There are many ways to heal, and what supports us shifts and changes over time, just as we do. For those reasons, various perspectives will be presented here, from teachers and healers from a variety of backgrounds, with varying methodologies. I will also be weighing in on the subject of healing and will share what has helped me as I have traveled my own journey.

Your questions are welcome. This is designed to be helpful to you, and suggestions for topics and things you are curious about will be considered as subjects for future posts. If you are reading this, you were led here for a reason, and I hope you benefit from the dialogue that is created here.

Love and light,
Victoria

The Wisdom of Tarot

Not surprisingly, The World card comes in for the collective today, coinciding with this weekend’s new moon. New moons are a time of seeding intentions, a time that supports the writing out—and speaking aloud—of the things we wish to breathe into being. This card aligns with the new moon energy perfectly. It tells of promising new beginnings and a new cycle coming into existence. This is a time in which we are powerfully supported by these universal energies—in which success, accolades, honors, and achievements can all be ours.

So often, the cards we receive align in this way, so perfectly with the supporting energies, whether those energies are universal or personal. This tells us something. Tarot holds a particular wisdom. It reveals the unseen, the energies and hidden dynamics that are working on our behalf behind the scenes, and the groundwork that is being laid for us. It holds up a mirror to show us where we can improve and where we are headed, given the current circumstances.

Looked at another way, everything is attraction. We live in an attraction universe. The tenet of the Law of Attraction, a sibling to the Law of Gravity, is simply this: that which is like unto itself is drawn. The cards we attract show us where we are, reflect our current vibration, revealing to us what we are attracting into our lives.

That is, perhaps, tarot’s highest purpose. This form of divination is a mirror reflecting back to us our own state of being. The beauty of knowing where we currently stand is that we can shift our vibration, our focus, at any time. We can always redirect, reroute, and change course. We can always change our minds. We are never locked into any specific endeavor.

Life is a palette of contrasts, a magnificent artist’s toolkit with seemingly infinite variety. We get to sift through all the materials at our disposal and determine what it is we want to create, where we are headed next, what we are reaching for as we grow, change, and evolve.

It is an infinite dance we are participating in, one of continual seeking and finding, desiring and receiving, as we climb the ladder of our own growth and evolution. And we can thank the tarot for being a guiding light along the way.
