November: The Month According to Tarot

Tarot spread for November
Soul Cards by Kristine Fredheim

Sixes indicate harmony and balance, and this month is bookended by sixes that indicate the overall energies and our guidance for the month. Like a harmonious gateway, these influences make November a container of time in which experiences and energies are flowing to us that can bring us to greater levels of harmony, both in our external, physical world (the Six of Pentacles) and within (the Six of Cups), which is where harmony begins.

November also contains two aces, the Ace of Cups and the Ace of Wands, pointing to the heart and emotional realm, and to manifestations, the will, and action. Together, they indicate that, through our emotions and the experiencing of joy and the higher emotions, such as appreciation and fun, we can allow our heart’s desires to strengthen, grow, and come into being. Something new is available to us this month, and connections and opportunities are waiting in the wings. Taking our attention off the things that have been slow to come and focusing instead on where we easily find happiness can speed everything up.

Q1: Overall energies of November: Six of Pentacles

Pentacles are related to the material, physical realm, and this happy card indicates abundance with plenty to share. New opportunities may be on the horizon, and they could look like new clientele flowing in, new ideas, new business and career opportunities, and new partnerships and collaborations. These energies are there and available for us to harness and do with what we will.

The universe may be calling you to make the most of the wondrous things that are coming your way, and to consider what exciting things you would do if you had plenty of resources—that is, without getting into a headspace of lack or observing what you don’t have. The idea is to keep the focus positive and be in the energy and the feeling place of having, doing, being, living your best and most ideal experience. This magnetizes it to you like nothing else.

Q2: Week 1: Ace of Cups

Cups are linked to the emotional realm and the Ace of Cups indicates new love, joy, and emotional restoration coming through this week. New beginnings are in the offing. Energetically, something new may be transpiring in the realm of the heart, and it may have to do with feeling new love or opening or healing emotionally.

New, heart-centered connections may be coming into being now or may be in a place of developing energetically. Not trying to rush things and making peace with where you are, trusting that it will come about in the highest and best way possible, can provide the nurturing energies that are key to the healthy growth of the new that’s developing.

Q3: Week 2: Ten of Wands reversed

The upright Ten of Wands is a card indicating heavy burdens; reversed, as it is for this week, it indicates releasing those burdens. It’s time to let go. We may be carrying around energetic and emotional burdens that don’t benefit us. We may not even realize we have been carrying them. This week, our guidance may be to release anything that doesn’t bring us joy or make us feel aligned, and to cut the ties with whatever doesn’t benefit us in some way. This work is individual, and by necessity, the focus must be on the self.

Considering what relationships, habits, routines, and energies aren’t serving us, we can begin to see what we need to release. Also looking at the mental realm and any self-talk or thoughts that play on repeat that don’t serve us, we may be called this week to revise our internal narrative. It can be helpful to replace each negative thought as we discover it with a more positive one and to monitor our thoughts to catch ourselves in negative patterns of thinking. This card can also indicate that something is on its way out, ready to exit our experience naturally, and we could see this play out in various ways. It’s time to make room for growth.

Q4: Week 3: Ace of Wands

The second ace to come in this month, the Ace of Wands may indicate something new coming about as a result of our intention and will. Taking inspired action from a place of alignment with our truth and higher self, or our inner being, is our ally, this week and beyond. Flowing with the path of least resistance can lead us right to the answers, things, ideas, and experiences we’ve been asking for.

Believing in our desires is like watering a seed. Expecting them to come is like adding fertilizer to the soil. Ideas can be powerful manifestations. Running with ideas that feel good, inspiring, and exhilarating can lead to great things. We can benefit from choosing only positive expectations for ourselves, and doing so deliberately.

Q5: Week 4: Three of Wands

With the Three of Wands, one plus one equals three. Two forces coming together co-create and through their synergy, create something new. This could indicate a partnership or collaboration that leads to new ideas and manifestations. We may also be considering how best to navigate new relationships, opportunities, ideas, and physical manifestations that have come into our experience.

Growth and the ways in which you express yourself, such as through music, art, dance, writing, or some other activity, are highlighted now. The message may be that we find alignment through what brings us joy, and we are encouraged to do those things more often, without getting hung up on the outcomes of our endeavors. When we allow pure creativity and inspiration to flow through us unfettered, the outcome is always wonderful.

Q6: Overall guidance for November: Six of Cups

Cups are linked to the emotional realm, and the Six of Cups indicates finding harmony through emotional renewal and restoration. Coming to a place of balance and peace may look different for everyone, as we are all individuals having our own experiences, distinct from one another with needs that are particular to us and us alone.

This week may show us where we are out of balance or disharmonious with our own energy and intentions. Whatever finding harmony looks like for you, this month is a time to rejuvenate, rest, and restore your energy. This ensures your needs are met and that you are strengthened and brought into your best possible experience. From a place of strength, we can launch into what comes next.

Soul Cards by Kristine Fredheim

October is a pentacles-heavy month, ushering in elements of financial abundance and stability. The energies now are supporting us in attaining a more prosperous way of living. Expecting manifestations and replacing outdated notions of greed with the deep knowing that we are all worthy and deserving of living an abundant, successful life of financial freedom makes more room for prosperity to flow into our experience. As Abraham-Hicks says, you cannot get poor enough to make poor people prosperous, but you can lead by example and show others what is possible. The cards say it’s time to live your best life, and bring a reminder that you are so very supported by universal energies that are always conspiring for your success. It’s time to get out of our own way and let the better flow in.

Q1: Overall energies of October: The Star

The Star is a card of hope and a signal of brighter days ahead. It may be time to raise the bar on our expectations for ourselves, as our expectations and beliefs are so very powerful and are a big player in what we allow to flow into our experience. When we doubt something, it cannot come to us but when we expect it, we magnetize it to us. The Star indicates new opportunities and positive developments, which may take place within ourselves, or in our manifest, physical experience—the external world in which we live, work, and play.

Q2: Week 1: Eight of Cups

The Eight of Cups indicates a turning away. We may be striking off in new directions or setting our intentions that we want to go another route. Whatever we are flowing our energy toward, universal forces are aligning to support us in arranging the components that will allow the new to come into being. So much is being arranged on our behalf, always. We are guided to trust our desires and know that we desire them for a reason, and to remember that we are powerful and can indeed have whatever we wish. As we turn our attention and focus away from what is passing out of our experience and focus instead on what we want to move toward, we are aiding in its manifestation as long as we believe in it. What we focus on grows.

Q3: Week 2: King of Pentacles

The King of Pentacles represents a person at the top of their game, someone who is perhaps seasoned or experienced, maybe a leader or business owner, a figurehead or influential person. When this card represents an energy, it can indicate stability and financial success and rising to new heights. Being that this card is in the pentacles suit, it is especially relevant to our material and financial success and well being, and can indicate promising new business or career endeavors. If you are beginning a new venture, this card is favorable and says go for it! Good things are to come. Knowing this is so solidifies it.

Q4: Week 3: Four of Pentacles

The Four of Pentacles is material stability and success, financial well being, abundance, and prosperity. Being successful is one thing, being stable in it another. When we trust our own ability to be financially and materially stable, this flows more energies of stability to us. This card may come as a reminder that we are fully capable of being financially and materially stable and prosperous. It can also indicate that new opportunities or the acquisition of land or property are coming into our experience. There is a strong element of trust that comes with this card, which asks us to trust ourselves and our ability to succeed and prosper.

Q5: Week 4: Nine of Pentacles

The Nine of Pentacles is a card of abundant material and financial success, perhaps indicating a windfall, inheritance, or influx of money, property, or resources. Whatever is on its way may be arriving this week or developing in significant ways that are preparing it to arrive into your experience. Whatever is coming, it will be enough to share with others and to enjoy. Soaking up feelings of enjoyment and fun draws prosperity and positive outcomes to us, and this card advises us to remain in those energies and milk them for as long as possible, to feel them for as long and as often as we can. This card says everything you’ve ever wanted is available to you; all you need to do is let it in.

Q6: Guidance for October: Eight of Pentacles

The Eight of Pentacles is guiding us this month to take stock and recognize how far we’ve come. It asks us to look at what we’ve accomplished and to take pride and pleasure in our good work and achievements thus far. Whatever we’ve been working on, we’ve come far and we should be proud of ourselves. Being in these energies brings us more good and allows more accomplishments, achievements, and recognition to flow our way. This can be a key to opening the pathway for us to receive the energies of abundance, financial stability, and prosperity that are so prevalent this month.

September: The Month According to Tarot

Soul Cards Tarot by Kristine Fredheim

This month includes its fair share of focus on both the material and the mental. To keep us from getting too heady about things, we’re reminded that it’s good to get out and have fun, to enjoy ourselves and live life, even if only to get out of our own heads for a while. We’re being guided to do the inner work, to be sure, which comes in the form of being more self-aware, paying attention to our thoughts and choosing ones that are more positive, therefore deliberately improving our vibration. We’re also reminded that we’re powerful, we’re worthy, and we’ve got what it takes to achieve our goals. But it’s also good to have fun along the way—in fact, that might be the most important part.

Q1: Overall energies of September: Four of Pentacles

The Four of Pentacles brings a stable, grounded influence for September, especially in the areas of home, family, relationships, finances, and career. We may be asked to focus on solutions and imagine ourselves in the better circumstances we desire. Supporting those desires with the belief that we are worthy of living our dreams and fully capable of achieving and realizing them is a powerful aid to our manifestations. The Four of Pentacles says stability is imminent and not only possible, but ready and waiting for us to line up with it and receive it. Believing in our stability and happiness can help shore up our vibration.

Q2: Week 1: Six of Wands

Great expectations… This week, victory is at hand. Small and large gains may come in the form of physical manifestations, ideas (which are also manifestations), or vibrational improvements. Our guidance is to look for and nurture an improved mood and a more positive outlook, and expect good results to come flowing in. We can expect to see positive results. Our expectations are powerful, and when our expectations line up with our beliefs, we are capable of creating any set of circumstances and any manifested reality. A powerful aid this week may be to remind ourselves of good things we’ve already manifested. Expect great things to come to you and they will.

Q3: Week 2: Five of Pentacles

This card can indicate a turning point or change in our material, physical lives. The guidance this week is to stay focused on the solution and forget about the issues and challenges, as those only hold power when we give our attention to them. What we focus on grows. To allow improvements to enter our lives, we’re being encouraged to spend time visualizing ourselves in the state manifested and to vibrationally line up with the energy of what we wish to create. If we want to experience more wealth, we can find the feeling of abundance on any subject. We may be abundant in a certain area, and finding a feeling of appreciating that abundance can help to grease the wheels on all other subjects and allow more abundance of money, positive relationships, opportunities, and anything else we desire to flow to us. This week, the advice is to focus on what’s working and forget the rest.

Q4: Week 3: Queen of Swords

This queen is all about the power of the mind and guides us to focus on the positive—what serves us, what we desire, what is good. We may be called to use the power of the mind this week to shift our momentum and get it going in a more positive direction. Once we’re vibing or trending in positive directions, it gets easier to stay on a positive wavelength. From there, we can watch things shift around us for the better. It’s all about the energy we hold and the vibration we are projecting out into the universe.

The Queen of Pentacles is a non-nonsense, clear thinker who knows her own power and is steady in it. This card can also signify that creative ideas are flowing in now in a most potent way. Pay attention to your ideas this week; write them down, but don’t just let them sit and grow stale. Act on them when you get the notion! There is tremendous power in inspired ideas. They are the gifts of the universe, the seeds that hold within them the possibility of great transformation, ideas that can change the world.

Q5: Week 4: Seven of Swords

The Seven of Swords can signify a shift in thinking. If we have been doing the vibrational work and ensuring we are vibrationally in a good place, we can expect to see a shift in our thinking, focus, and point of attraction. This card can simply indicate the desire to do so. If we wish it, we can live it; if we dream it, we can do it. What we are being, where we are vibrating, magnetizes similar energies to us, thanks to the law of attraction, which states, that which is like unto itself is drawn. We are what we think; we live what we think. The Seven of Swords may urge us to shift our thinking in ways that benefit us and to think more positive thoughts to get more positive momentum going, which in turn improves our vibration and allows us to receive what we have been asking for.

Q6: Guidance for September: Three of Cups

There is a celebratory, playful, collaborative energy at hand, ready for us to receive and work with, or rather, to enjoy. Positive collaborations may yield fruitful results, whether creative or professional. Our guidance this month is to have fun, to do things that bring us joy and take our minds off of the mental focus that is so prevalent this month. While it’s good to be aware of our thoughts and make the effort to focus in ways that serve us—which often means deliberately choosing thoughts that are more positive—this card also encourages us to lighten up and do things that give us a sense of lightness, freedom, and buoyancy. In moments of fun and laughter, we open the valve for good things to flow in; in that state, everything we have asked for can come to us. The key is to take our minds off of making something happen, to just have fun and let go, to truly enjoy ourselves in the moment. (Read: Fun is important!)

July: The Month According to Tarot

Soul Cards Tarot by Kristine Fredheim

The presence of so many major arcana cards in this month’s reading signifies major change and developments on the horizon. Something is transforming beneath the surface, or more accurately, in the energetic, and is preparing to make its way into the physical. Week four of July looks especially promising for manifestations, with the Eight of Wands signifying powerful momentum and rapid forward movement. With Strength coming in as the card signifying this month’s energies, we’re reminded that we have what it takes to move through this period successfully. We can call on our inner strength to prepare ourselves mentally and emotionally for the change that lies ahead.

Q1: Overall energies of July: Strength

If nothing is certain but change, this beautiful card gives us reassurance that we’ve got what it takes  to not only get through it, but to ride the wave and come out on top. Change can be positive, neutral, or negative, depending on how we view it, but even when things may not look as we had hoped or expected, we have the ability to choose how we are calibrated through it all. The Strength card reminds us that we’re powerful and our greatest strength is within. It can also appear when we reach certain milestones that we could not have otherwise achieved were it not for our strength, persistence, and tenacity.

Q2: Week 1: The High Priestess

This enigmatic card guides us to the feminine power within. The High Priestess may ask us to consider what is hidden within, what is preparing to come forth, and what remains unseen, the catalyst behind our motivations. Our inner life may be in focus this week, and that can include the way we approach things, as well as our creativity, imagination, and spirituality. Our intuition may be heightened now and we could benefit from considering where it is guiding us before heading off in new directions or making significant choices. Our emotions may be trying to tell us something.

Q3: Week 2: The Moon

Coinciding beautifully with this week’s full moon, The Moon card may ask us to pay attention to how the full moon’s energies are affecting us. The sister card of The High Priestess, The Moon is also closely aligned with the hidden, the subconscious, and what some may think of as the shadow side. This week, our intuition may be guiding us toward something; our inner being or higher self may have a message for us in the form of wisdom, guidance, or images that flicker across the mind’s screen in quiet moments. The Moon may cast its light on secrets and mysteries. This week could find us separating truth from illusion as we attempt to figure out what is real and get to the core truth of the matters at hand.

Q4: Week 3: Temperance

Temperance is a card of balance, cooperation, harmony, and patience. This week, we may benefit from considering where we could use more balance in our lives. Something may be reaching a point of resolution and we could find ourselves easily untangling knots that previously, were not so easily unraveled. Patience serves us well now and we may find it more easier than ever to breathe deeply into a space of quiet peace and strength and call on our wellspring of patient reserves. In peace, the path will reveal itself. In harmony, we find resolution. We may discover great healing available in the quiet knowing that all is well and in discovering the well-being that is at the center of who we are.

Q5: Week 4: Eight of Wands

The pace picks up now as fast-moving energy makes itself known. Energy is gaining momentum, gathering behind the scenes and building on what is growing, aiding the development of new manifestations. Energies are continuing to gather throughout the week as they prepare to make themselves known in some form or another. Expect new opportunities, change, and rapid developments. When faced with choice points, our inner guidance steers us toward what feels good, which is where we find resonance with our truth.

Q6: Guidance for July: Seven of Cups

This card says dream big—there are no limits to what you can be, do, or achieve. The message this week is that what you focus on grows. The Seven of Cups may guide us to be mindful of what we give our energy and attention to and arrives as a reminder that we create our own reality. Backing up our desires with beliefs that we can have what we want, and supporting those wishes with the expectation that they are manifesting and will be ours, can be the powerful catalysts that help give powerful momentum to the change we seek to create. The universe is powerfully supporting us in manifesting our desires.

May: The Month According to Tarot

Soul Cards Tarot by Kristine Fredheim

The month of May has a strong focus on manifestation and the cards are guiding our attention to our vibrational output via our thoughts, focus, beliefs, and expectations. May is the fifth month of the year and the number five is all about change. The guidance for the month arrives to us via the Five of Pentacles, which asks us, in this context, to consider how we are thinking about our lives on the material plane; we may benefit from making changes to what we are focusing on in order to improve the manifested outcomes. You’ve got this, reminds The Magician; you have all the tools you need to create whatever you want.

Q1: Overall energies of May: The Magician

The Magician comes in with a reminder that we create our realities. We get to mould and shape outcomes through what we focus on, believe, and expect. This month, we may become especially aware of our own power as we align with our truth and strengthen our confidence. Life on Earth affords us a great palette from which we can select the ingredients we want to play with and choose what to include in our experience. Knowing—believing—that we can have whatever we ask for brings it to us with surety.

Q2: Week 1: Nine of Cups

This week, we are encouraged to revel in the feeling of abundance. When we find things to appreciate and spend time appreciating them, we draw to us more of the same. The world is rich with manifestations and experiences to admire and we may benefit from doing more of that, even if only in our daydreams. We get what we focus on, and this week we’re encouraged to choose what we focus on with care. We can decide to allow into our minds, and therefore our vibrations, only what we want to see grow.

Q3: Week 2: Knight of Swords

The Knight of Swords is a man on a mission. He goes after what he wants with single-minded focus. This is a good card to follow the previous two, as it offers encouragement to focus our attention and our thoughts only on what we want. This month is all about manifestation, says The Magician, and we have what it takes to create the change we seek. You can do this! says the knight. While this card seems action-oriented, the best action we can take is inspired action that comes to us when we are vibing high. It’s like they say: consider the source. If the inspired action comes when you’re not feeling so good, it’s better to get into a high-flying place and choose from there.

Q4: Week 3: Queen of Wands

Wands signify the will and manifestation, and this queen is very much in her power. She’s confident and creative, and her abundant life is evidence of her fertility and her ability to create what she desires. Let the mind be a fertile garden, says the queen. Do not let the weeds into your garden. Choose your thoughts with care and go easy on yourself if you falter. Simply pivot to choose thoughts that reflect what you want to focus on when you catch yourself in a place you don’t want to be. Flow and trust yourself. Practice yields improvement.

Q5: Week 4: Justice

The scales will balance. Where something has been off-kilter, it will be set to rights. Where you have made room in your life by clearing out what was old, what needed to go, and what no longer served, the universe will fill with what you are attracting, which is wherever you’re vibrating. Keeping your vibe high will bring to you only what is good and what you have asked for. Abraham-Hicks teaches that, when beliefs and expectations align, manifestations flow in to match them.

Q6: Guidance for May: Five of Pentacles

Five is a number of change and pentacles represent the physical plane, which includes home, career, finance, and any other aspects of the lived experience. The only constant is change, and meanwhile, we get to choose what we focus on. If this card is the guidance for the month, then it may be inviting us to change where we’re focused to improve our vibration. That could mean intentionally shifting our thoughts to the positive and focusing on the solution to activate what is wanted and allow the solutions to flow in. Doing this consistently can be a game changer.

October: The Month According to Tarot

Soul Cards by Kristine Fredheim

This tenth month of the year holds vibrant new possibilities. The number ten is all about completion. And where there is an ending, there is always a new beginning. Something new is in store and it’s up to us how we greet it. We may find it useful to visualize and focus where we want the energy to go, so it increases the momentum of what we want to manifest. In October, we can dream big and open our hearts wide to receive what is in alignment for us.

Q1: Overall energies for the month of October: Ten of Wands reversed

This month sees us releasing burdens and old energies, and generally clearing out what does not serve our highest good. While this can happen on levels we are not aware of, such as while we’re sleeping or in the form of subtle shifts in the subconscious, we can support this work by setting the intention to clear all that does not align with our highest good and welcoming in energies that are healthy and aligned for us. We may see situations shifting and things falling away as a natural part of the energetic work we’ve been doing. if we’ve been holding onto something that just isn’t moving forward, it may be time to let it go. As we release our grasp, what has been stagnant can flow. We’ll see more progress once we are able to truly let go on a heart level.

Q2: Week 1: Seven of Cups

This card asks us to consider what we’ve been spending our time focusing on and whether that is something we really want to allow to take up our headspace. We may unintentionally be making something unwanted bigger by giving it our attention. Those shifts mentioned above can also apply to the mindset, as this week our highest and best way forward may be to start focusing on what we do want to make bigger and on where we want to be. The message is to nevermind the getting there, as that’s not our work but that of the universe. This week, we may be called to consider our goals, refine them, and set new ones as we feel guided to do. Our intuition may have a little something it wants us to heed, some new directions it wants us to follow.

Q3: Week 2: The Hermit

Our guidance is calling us this week, and support is all around. It’s up to us when and whether we want to call on our allies and lean into our inner strength and wisdom. Going within can provide clarity and new understandings. An idea like a seed may be gestating, waiting for us to water it with our attention so it can sprout. To find it may require digging deep. Journaling, meditation, and otherwise going within will serve us well this week and perhaps, as we plunge into the depths, we will uncover a gemstone, something that can light our way and show us where it will benefit us to go. This week may call for a divine reset, and getting plenty of sleep will support us on all levels. We are opening up to new wisdom, new gifts and abilities that are part of our true essence. We may be finding the truth within now and seeing new facets of ourselves that help us to gain a greater understanding of who we are.

Q4: Week 3: The Emperor

The Emperor is strong, and his foundations are solid. We may be asked to lean into our innate wisdom this week, and to consider ways we can support the strengthening of our foundations. This week may see us headed toward greater security and we can support this by planning for our future and taking measures to ensure the comfort of our future selves and that we are provided for. Making plans and arrangements to support this is indicated, and we are also supported with this work this week and beyond. Energies are coming in to help us prepare for the road ahead and help us lean into our strength and wisdom so we can make the choices that will most benefit us now and in the days to come. The Emperor can represent a wise, strong leader we can lean on for support or look to for guidance. This person can show us that we have the ability to succeed, prosper, and grow.

Q5: Week 4: Ten of Pentacles

Business and career aspirations are supported now, as are financial planning and investing. The future holds something bright, and we have great abundance available to us now. As we drink from the well of gratitude this week, we may see our hopes, wishes, and dreams materialize before our eyes. Others may show us that we, too, can walk the path of abundance, whatever that means to us. We can allow ourselves to be inspired by our own dreams and hold the vision of our highest and best possibilities, wishes, hopes, and desires. We are allowed to want what we want, and it is good to want more for ourselves. It is good for our cup to be full and this week we may realize that we cannot fill the cup of others, or at least, not in any meaningful or lasting way; we each have to learn to fill our own cup. We can be the wayshower helping others as we live by example and align with our highest and best possibilities.

Q6: Guidance for October: Knight of Cups

An offer is at hand. Travel and adventure are indicated, as is going with the flow. This month, we can best serve our goals by allowing ourselves to get into the flow state and opening our hearts to receive. Something magnificent is waiting in the wings; it’s so close all we have to do is pull back the curtain and it’s there. We may be rekindling romance or reigniting the flame within our hearts that allows us to want more for ourselves, to fall in love with life again, to realize that there are no limits other than our own minds. It may be time to fling the doors to our hearts open wide and realize that every day holds bright possibilities. There is nothing we cannot do, be, or achieve, as long as we will allow ourselves to do it, to be it, to receive it.

September: The Month According to Tarot

Soul Cards by Kristine Fredheim

September isn’t pulling any punches. The strong guidance this month is to do ourselves a favor and clear the deadwood by going within, releasing all that doesn’t serve us, and considering where we may be creating our own obstacles that stand in the way of our goals. We each have a lot of abundance available to us, even if we don’t realize it yet.

Q1: Overall energies for the month of September: King of Cups

The King of Cups is emotional warmth and protection, a caring and creative soul who wants to be liked. As a king, he is at the top of his game and sits at the pinnacle of leadership. He is someone who leads from the heart. He can represent a friend, an ally, someone you can call on for emotional support. He can also represent an aspect of self. This card guides us to ask a few questions. Are we responsible stewards of our own emotions? How do we nurture and care for ourselves? How do we navigate emotionally challenging waters? We may benefit from taking time for introspection this month and allowing ourselves time to go within, to explore the uncharted waters of the heart, and take a closer look at what doesn’t belong there.

Q2: Week 1 energies: The Emperor

The Emperor is a strong divine masculine energy. He is the wizened warrior who has seen it all and has triumphed over challenges and obstacles. He has created a strong, steady foundation that will support him for many years to come. The Emperor is empowered and self-sovereign, an emblem of the strength we all hold within. This week may find us exploring how we can be more empowered and live sustainably in ways that support our growth. Where The Emperor is not afraid to make hard choices, he follows his own path and always stays focused on his goals. We are guided to do the same, to separate the wheat from the chaff and eliminate with precision and efficiency everything that does not serve our highest good, and to recognize that we owe it to ourselves to do so. Now is the time to gather our strength and take aligned action.

Q3: Week 2 energies: Three of Swords

It’s time to remove the swords from our hearts. This could mean energetic clearing, cord cutting, or taking the time to go within and begin the healing process. The process looks different for everyone and we are guided to do what resonates with us. The process of letting go can change as we do and can be unique for every situation. Setting the intention to process, clear, and heal in ways that are effective and appropriate for us sets the energies in motion. What are we letting go of? What doesn’t belong in our lives anymore? What can we do to move forward? What still hurts? What are we still holding onto that is ready to be released? Sometimes, figuring out where we still need healing can be as easy as noticing our triggers.

Q4: Week 3 energies: The Sun reversed

Where are we blocking our blessings? What obstacles stand in the way of our receiving all we have asked for? What beliefs do we hold that are counter to what we want? Where are we feeling held back and what is the root cause? The Sun in the upright position indicates attainment, manifestations, goals being reached, and success of every kind. It may benefit us this week to explore old and outdated beliefs and to rewrite everything that is not in alignment with what we know now and who we are today. There is always something magnificent awaiting us, improvements of every kind; all we have ever asked for is waiting in the wings. This week is an opportune time to rewrite our beliefs, and to learn what is holding us back so we can get into the receiving mode. The Sun reversed can indicate that we are only letting in a fraction of what is available to us and we may need to do some inner work so we can receive all we have asked for in its fully manifested state.

Q5: Week 4 energies: Two of Pentacles

This may be a week of balancing priorities and things in the material realm, which can include finances, responsibilities, work, studies, relationships, and leisure time. We may find ourselves navigating competing priorities, and we may need to consider what can wait and what needs to be done right away. This week especially, it is important to take time for ourselves, however impossible it seems. Making time for the things we love is a way of nurturing ourselves and can be as simple as getting a coffee on the way to work, taking a short walk, or having a conversation with a friend. The Two of Pentacles can also indicate a second source of income or a job offer. If you are changing careers or seeking employment, this is a positive week to do so.

Q6: Overall guidance for September: Queen of Pentacles

Who’s abundant? You are! This month and beyond, we will benefit from taking the time to appreciate things, circumstances, and people around us. We live in an abundant universe that provides plenty for everyone. When we look for and appreciate abundance in our lives and around us, we manifest more of what we are appreciating. Even if it’s only the blue of the sky or the smile on a stranger’s face, we can always find something to appreciate. One of the greatest benefits of spending time in appreciation is that it gets us into the receiving mode and allows us to manifest more of what we want. By focusing on what we want, we get more of the same. The Queen of Pentacles is a reminder that we all have the ability to live in abundance and to be the masters of our own outcomes.

August: The Month According to Tarot

August is a month of abundance and manifestation. Be prepared to receive this month and reap rewards as never before. We stand poised on the brink of great success, tremendous satisfaction, and the ability to connect deeply with ourselves—our own truth and our hearts—more powerfully than ever. Get ready to uplevel and to welcome in deep gratitude and prosperity. This month, we can rewrite our belief systems to serve our greatest and highest good. Are you ready to receive?

Q1: Overall energies for the month of August: The Hierophant

Traditionally a religious figurehead, The Hierophant stands for religious belief and the doctrines underpinning our beliefs. This card may be a call to action, asking us to examine any beliefs that do not ring true or resonate at a heart level. Many of us may carry energies, beliefs, and indoctrination from past lives, and these may still impact our lives and our beliefs on a certain level, whether we are aware of it or not. It may benefit us to clear and release ties, energies, pacts, contracts, promises, and commitments from past lives, as these may be lingering unseen, still affecting us.

This card can also encourage us to examine what we truly believe and the indoctrination we were raised with, and to release any hindering or non-resonant beliefs and all energies associated with them. We are ready to make our own path, supported in the ways we know to be true and resonant for us and our present realities. Timelines are shifting, many from past lives, that are taking with them man-made religious distortions. These are crumbling, ready to fall away as we walk a path of truth and light, called to our oneness in the awareness of the divinity at the heart of all.

Q2: Week 1 energies: The Chariot

The Chariot’s fast-moving energy takes us full speed ahead as we hurtle into the fiery, powerful energies of manifestation contained in August. This is a chariot illuminated by The Sun, and it rockets forward, flames trailing in its wake. This is manifestation and empowerment the likes of which we’ve never seen before. We rush headlong into who we were meant to be, expanding at the speed of light. We hold magic in our hands and in our hearts.

Our expansion combines with the knowledge of our oneness as we align with the truth of who we are and become the divine magicians and creators we came here to be. We are infinite, eternal, magnificent. We are magical. New paths open before us as we walk, as we move forward grounded in the certainty of the beliefs and desires that propel us onward.

Q3: Week 2 energies: The Sun

The Sun illuminates all it touches, everything in our reality. Light codes are coming in strong this month, elevating us and giving us the opportunity to uplevel as never before. We have the power and ability to reach long-held dreams and goals now—those long-awaited moments are now. Every moment is now. Centered in every instance of our present reality, aligned with the truth of who we are and connected with our own divinity, we can reach zero-point manifestation; from there, the sky is the limit. All the glory we have wished for is possible now. Connect to the divine within, the sacred immaculate heart.

Solaris, our sun, works with the energies of Sirius to bring us to the portal of manifestation and receive divine upgrades from cosmic light. We may be gaining greater awareness of our celestial nature and perspective on our own realities as we zoom out, noticing ourselves as a tiny speck somewhere with the vast starry blanket of all that is. We hold the vastness of eternity and the power of the universe within our own hearts. This power is a game changer, as it empowers us and reminds us of our own magnificence. When we realize this, all untruths fall away as though they were nothing, and we stand in our sovereignty and truth, each of us a bright light, luminous in the infinite universe.

Q4: Week 3 energies: Knight of Cups

This is an offer of the heart. Some movement or travel is indicated now, something making its way steadily into our experience. We can expect pleasant changes and opportunities for levity and fun. An uplifting energy is indicated now. This month favors career changes, seeking new employment and business expansion, and this week, it is especially favorable. Applications, financial transactions, and paperwork promise to yield success.

This week, we are supported with journeys into the heart. Romance and flirtatiousness could make their way into our experience; there is the chance now for lighthearted enjoyment. We can go with the flow, ensuring our beliefs support our desires. Now is a good time to rewrite belief systems to ensure future prosperity, success, and happiness.

Q5: Week 4 energies: King of Wands

The King of Wands is fortunate, foretelling of success and favorable outcomes. Whatever we have been desiring, this card says we will be successful. New employment, raises, great opportunities, and good fortune of all kinds is indicated now. We will be victorious and receive the recognition and results we have been hoping for. Manifestations are coming in hot this week! Our focus and intentions are supported by our beliefs and the energies at hand now give everything a powerful, positive boost.

The King of Wands can also indicate that we are coming into our own power. Confidence, rootedness in our own sovereignty, and success are our new modus operandi. This king is a reminder that we hold the keys to our dreams, wishes, and hopes within. Our will gets a boost this week and we are on fire with new ideas and manifestations. This is a positive forward momentum that fulfills the truth that, to quote Abraham-Hicks, the better it gets, the better it gets. We hurtle onward into greater success and positivity.

Q6: Guidance for the month of August: Queen of Cups

The Queen of Cups guides us to be seekers of truth and to look for that truth within. This queen is the master of her own heart. She rules her own emotional realm, and knows her emotional landscape so well she could draw a map of it. This month, she encourages making a daily practice of looking within and tending to our own emotions and needs—of making self-care a part of our daily ritual. We are guided to nurture and nourish our hearts and our emotional needs this week, to take time for ourselves in the fast-moving energy that is present throughout the month.

Engaging in creative practices can be deeply rewarding and provide a platform for deep healing and soul nurturing. We can process and clear so much by getting into the flow state, whether that’s via acting, writing, singing, painting, drawing, creating new concoctions, or dreaming up ideas. Tapping into our creativity can be richly satisfying. Engaging in a daily visualization practice throughout the month of August and beyond can yield tremendous rewards. We are getting to know ourselves on deeper and deeper levels, connecting to our emotions and our truth as never before.

On Inspiration and Creativity (We Are Receivers)

Photo & painting by Victoria Constantino

When it comes to creativity, showing up is crucial. The simple act of being present at the page (blank or not)—or the canvas or stage, or whatever the medium may be—is a catalyst that incites the momentum of creation. Trust is important, and allowing is key. This means trusting ourselves to mould and shape the clay of raw materials, and allowing ourselves to have fun in the process. It also means allowing ourselves the time to play and explore.

Just showing up, in and of itself, is work. It’s part of the process.

When we do the work of showing up, creativity shows up for us. Put in another way, we allow creative inspiration and ideas to come to us when we set the intention, and set the stage, for them. Opening a blank page or setting a new canvas on the easel is an open invitation to creativity. It is an act of intention that says, “Here I am, I’m ready. Let me be a vessel for what wants to come through.” When we consider that we are a physical manifestation of source energy, and that we each have a source that is flowing well-being to us at all times, as Abraham-Hicks teaches, then when we get into the receiving mode, or the energy of allowing, we open the valve for creative inspiration and the beautiful manifestation of ideas to flow to us.

It’s helpful to release any expectations about the outcome, and certainly any anxieties. We honor the creative process when we just let it flow where it wants to flow. We can always rewrite or paint over or rework the creation in question to our heart’s content. When it comes to something like writing music, for example, we allow the song to be the best it can be when we let it flow naturally without forcing it. If the next chord sounds like it should be A but we had in mind to make it B, we can block or stifle the process by forcing it to be what it isn’t or steering it in a direction that is counter to where it would naturally flow. It’s about honoring the path of least resistance.

When we trust the creative piece itself, the process—and, it must be said, ourselves—to receive what is there for the receiving, that’s where the magic happens. We are receivers. When we tune in, when we show up, it’s like tuning the radio to a certain station so it can receive the music that is floating across the airwaves. How many times have you had an idea, but abandoned it or didn’t move forward with it at all, only to see that same idea crop up elsewhere, brought to life by the hand of some other artist? This ties into the concept of the collective consciousness. When we tune into creativity, we are allowing ourselves to be receivers for what is out there in the ethers, just waiting to find a vessel to manifest them. Ideas—songs, stories, and works of art in whatever form they may take—have a life of their own.

The thing about ideas, though, is that they’re not always convenient. Some of the best ideas can arrive at the most inopportune times. We may be in the receiving mode when we’re driving, but that doesn’t exactly make it an ideal time to record those ideas. But we have a duty to them, to honor them by being prepared or carrying them in our minds until we can write them down, sketch them, or what-have-you. Preparedness is helpful. Carrying a recording device (this could be your phone, via a recording app) or a small notebook and writing instrument can help ensure our ideas are not lost. When we honor our ideas—or you could say, the ideas we receive—we can bring forth some truly noteworthy creations.

April: The Month According to Tarot

Soul Cards Tarot by Kristine Fredheim

April is a magical month, ushering in positive new changes and energetic freedom. Rapid manifestations are imminent, and we best serve our highest good by keeping our thoughts positive and believing in ourselves and our greatest potential. We are guided to be confident, to know ourselves as the powerful creators that we are. The strong message this month is to stay positively focused on our goals and embrace the changes that are coming. The presence of The Magician and The Fool bring a crystal-clear message: Now is a powerful time of creating a new life and manifesting something truly magnificent. The new season has ushered in a brand new cycle. Positive change is truly in the air; can you feel it?

Q1: What is the overall theme of April? The Magician

You are the creator of your life, the weaver of your fate, the master of your own destiny. You hold the power to create the life you desire through your focus and attention. This month, we are working on manifesting in bigger, more expanded ways than we have before, and the energies are supporting us in our work as manifestations become more rapid. We get to experience the thrill of creation. Like an artist bringing a scene to life with a paintbrush, using the vast array of colors at their disposal, we weave, create, and build through where we choose to focus. We are guided to choose our thoughts carefully and become ever more mindful of how we see ourselves, what we are visualizing, what we choose to believe for ourselves, and our expectations. When we find our thoughts don’t line up with where we want to be, we have the opportunity to shift them in that moment. Every moment is a new opportunity; every moment holds vast potential.

Q2: Week 1: Seven of Cups

Sometimes a card of illusion and truth, the Seven of Cups can guide us to practice discernment—something we should always do—but this month especially, working in concert with The Magician, the Seven of Cups brings an even stronger message to pay attention to our thoughts and guide them so they align with our goals. This can take practice, but once we’ve made the decision to be mindful, we can catch ourselves when our thinking doesn’t align with our hopes and dreams, and then choose to focus instead on more positive aspects. With consistent practice, we begin to see results. Seeing our world in a positive light becomes easier and more natural the more we raise our vibration. Doing things that bring us happiness this week will help us to be in a place of receiving and lend us an easy ability to focus, when we choose to do so, in a place of positive expectation. This is also a card of visualization and believing in our dreams. This week, spending consistent time in visualization, perhaps a little each day, will prove especially rewarding.

Q3: Week 2: The Chariot

If we’ve been putting in the work that The Magician and the Seven of Cups have guided us to do, this week may find us moving quickly and needing to keep our focus on our goals to ensure we reach our destination, making changes as needed so we stay on track. The Chariot represents a fast-moving energy that can bring rapid changes and possibly even conflict that is beneficial for us to address early on so it doesn’t careen out of control unchecked. The conflict can be in relationships or within ourselves. We may be working to resolve internal struggles. This brings to mind the story of the two wolves; the wolf we feed—whether it represents positivity or negativity—is the one that will thrive and become dominant.

Q4: Week 3: The Eight of Swords

We may be trapped in a prison of our own making or we could be bound by forces outside of our control. Regardless of the situation, the one thing we can always control is our own minds. We may need to bring our focus back around to the positive so we can let go of whatever is occurring in the world around us and focus instead on the garden within. The garden is something we can create within our minds. Do we allow weeds to take over or do we pull them? This is a week to do inner work, as we face, heal, and clear what does not serve us (the weeds). When we weed the garden, we make room for the roses and the beautiful, thriving colors that illuminate our inner landscape. No matter what is going on outside, when we hold the light within, it will light up our entire lives. Our own light can break the strongest of bonds and free us from what may seem like the most impossible situations.

Q5: Week 4: Four of Cups

Something is being offered to us, but if our eyes are closed or we are otherwise turned away from possibilities that don’t fit the container we expect them to arrive in, we may be missing something of tremendous benefit. This week, we may need to take the blinders off so we can see with clarity. The Magician’s influence over this month reminds us that we create our own realities, and that we are always creating, moment by moment, with our every thought and vibration. The Four of Cups can indicate that we are bored, stagnant, uninspired, or not being challenged in the ways we wish to be. Sometimes doing something new or changing the scenery can offer fresh perspective. Where fours are numbers of stability and cups resonate with the realm of emotions, this card can also indicate emotional stability. We may be finding it, or grounding in it, seeking a stable place after a time of imbalance. We are guided to tap into inspiration and emotional harmony, and to find the joy within.

Q6: Guidance from the Universe for April: The Fool

Embrace fresh starts, welcome change, and frolic in the joy of new possibility. The world is vast and exciting, and holds much in store for those who are open to its treasures. The Universe is asking us to open our arms and our hearts wide to our own potential and to throw out the old blueprints; they are vestiges of a former life and have no grounding in our current reality. It’s time to toss away old ideas and limitations and embrace the freedom that is ours for the receiving. Forget everything you thought you knew—these are unprecedented times. Allow yourself to dream big and believe in your dreams with the open-hearted, pure belief of a child. Let yourself dream up the best reality you can imagine, for yourself and the collective. The world is magical and full of wonder; it only ceases to be so when we stop believing in the wondrous, limitless possibilities that are available to us all.
