Tuning into the messages the cards have for us is a lot like tuning into our internal guidance system. With practice, you develop a certain level of trust for the messages you are receiving. Over time, you learn to intuit the wisdom particular cards have to impart, sifting through the possible messages and interpretations and meanings each card holds with greater ease and clarity, gleaning the particular wisdom it holds for you, on this day, in this specific moment.
Over time, it becomes easier to pull those amorphous filaments from the air, the often-fleeting images, ideas, memories, snippets of conversation, long-ago lines now remembered, and to understand what wisdom they hold, what teachings they may impart.
Quieting the mind helps with this, as it mutes and dims the stream of mental chatter, the endless anxieties and to-do lists, bringing to the fore what really matters–the voice within, the nudge of guidance that brings wisdom. This is one reason so many of us begin the day with a moment of silence, whether that is sitting in meditation or enjoying a few quiet moments sipping from a warm mug as the morning sun makes its debut along the horizon.
It is in the quiet moments that the bright tone that sings so clear and true rings out its resonance across the whole of the day ahead.
